Pagan Blog Project Week 2:A is for Aura

Ah, the Aura, a beautiful indication to know when something is alive and kicking. In fact it is in theory when the aura is healthy, the physical body is healthy as well.

This is my aura, or at least what it looked like at the time I had my reading done back in spring of 2011. Colors of the aura change depending on the mood, time of day and of course the health of the person. When not taken care of properly or outside matters enters into your aura it can cause a lot negative effects. It’s important to take the time to not only clean but repair your aura as often as possible more for your health’s sake than anything.

According to many sources, but I’m referring to Donna Eden’s text, the aura has seven fields, they are the follow from closest to the body to away from the body;

~Etheric- Kinda like your body’s spiritual identity. It extends about 5 inches away from the body is often the same color which helps identify one’s core element.
~Protective- Interacts as a shield with the physical body and blends with the Etheric. Not seen as often.
~Mental/Emotional- An area that is known to hold emotions, thoughts, and visions. Possibility of having four layers.
~Morphic- This field exists in all parts of the aura but it is known as the habit field.
~Celestial- This area is associated to where you work with your spiritual guides and higher being.
~The Celtic Weave- Energy that naturally flows and weaves through your aura.
~Life Color- What is most often seen by people when they do see auras, color changes during a person’s lifetime.

(All the following above are referenced from Donna Eden’s book Energy Medicine.)

Now my own person experience with Auras is I do see them from time to time, but when I’m in a super relaxed state of mind. It’s easier for me to feel them, especially when I do massage on my clients. I like to use it as a tool to know what kind of state of health and whether I need to make adjustments to the energy portion of the massage.

Another fun fact is people do see Aura’s differently. Majority will see a clear essence surrounding the body, sensitives or highly trained practitioners tend to see colors, I’m well aware of people seeing the different fields individually and I do have a friend who sees auras in more of a hot to cold spectrum. So again, it’s all in what the person sees.

Hope you enjoyed! Next week, Bellydance.
